Narrow...

Here's one thing that I don't understand...

Maybe just indulge me for a bit.  I promise I'll get back to the normal light and fluffy stuff soon.

I don't understand how people can directly relate church attendance to financial stability.  I really do see both sides of the story, but here are my arguments:

Hypothetically speaking... If someone is financially stable and their church attendance is "spotty" and then their financial stability kind of diminishes, but church attendance remains the same, how can the conclusion be drawn that their misfortune was because of their church attendance??

I have a lot of respect for people who have stories about paying their tithing and everything works out for them.  I, however, have never had that experience and although I can see how amazing it is in their life, because I haven't experienced it first hand I have a difficult time relating to it.

I really do understand both points of view.  From the religious and the not so much, but in all honesty, I feel that everyone should be able to live their lives to their own desires.  Whether those desires are immediate or long term should not effect the way that person is viewed by others.  It is, after all, possible to be a good person and without attending church regularly.

I know that I have more to say about this, but for now... I need to get my thoughts together...
