Summer ...

So it feels like the first day of winter, today!  It's sooo blasted cold outside and there's snow on the mountains... Sad day!  Where did summer go?

Let's call a spade, a spade, people.  This summer has seriously SUCKED!!  It's not very often that I can actually say that such a long time frame sucks, but in all honesty... it has.  Why lie about it?

But that's not to say that there haven't been any good times, though...

I went home over Memorial Weekend.  Home is always a good idea!  It was Savannah's baptism, so I couldn't miss that - try telling that to the highway patrol man who pulled me over in Boise - No bueno.

All my favorite things, in this trip: good food, good friends, good family and everything really does come down to... location, location, LOCATION!!  I miss the NW sooo much!  And everyone in it...

When I came back from the NW, I bought my new little motorcycle!  Wooot!  It's sooo stinkin cute!  I don't have my endorsement yet, so Chris is keeping it occupied for me.  But I think early next spring I'll get the legal stuff done and start cruisin' around on it.  Especially if gas prices keep going up, like I'm sure they will.

I WON BEN STEIN'S MONEY!!
Okay, Okay.  I actually just walked him and his cute wife through the airport, holding their bags while he greeted everyone. But it was still kinda fun.

I went to my first ever live baseball game!!  SLC Bee's.  And had a blast!  The fireworks afterwards were pretty fantastic too.  We were down on the field and because they were right above us, we were spattered with firework debris.  Sooo fun!!  It almost gave Ft. Vancouver a run for it... almost...

I moved into my new apartment.  Definitely NOT where I saw my summer going, and it really is super tiny, but in all honesty... I really do like the new place - It's me.
I took a quick road trip with my dad before school started.  Please believe: no shower for 3 days running, makes for a rather unhappy Bekky... But it was great to spend a few days with just myself and daddy.

We surprised Daddy with a cabin in Provo Canyon for his birthday weekend.  It was just down the street from Stewart Falls, and everyone had such a great time.  Of course we hiked to Stewart Falls, and we played some games, let the kids play outside, we roasted mallows and weiners and laughed a lot!!
Happy 60th, Grandpa!

I think that pretty much brings us current on the summer status.  Now, I remember where it went... trying desperately to keep my head otherwise occupied.  Good times, Good times...
